Plants sold as bee friendly may contain pollinator lethal insecticide

You would have thought that plants sold in nurseries as bee friendly would not contain pollinator lethal insecticide. I have had to stop recommending people buying bee friendly plants from nurseries a while ago as so many plants and bulbs are now pre-treated.

A new bill is passing through the Minnesota House that would prevent the sale of bee-lethal products as bee-friendly.
A person may not label or advertise a plant, plant material, or nursery stock as beneficial to pollinators if it has been treated with and has a detectable level of a pollinator lethal insecticide.
For those of us not living in Minnesota I recommend you check the plant history very carefully and consider setting up seed exchanges and plant swaps with your friends.
